The Irish Renewable Energy Summit, now in its fifth year, is the major annual conference for Ireland's renewable and broader energy sectors, including many from outside Ireland with an interest in the development of renewable energy. The event was held today Thursday, January 20th, 2011 at the Fairways Hotel in Dundalk. The conference examined the challenges around meeting Government and EU targets for renewables and the role various renewable technologies can play in meeting these important targets. Energy Minister Eamon Ryan TD delivered the opening address at the conference.
